Refinishing of hardwood floors

When your hardwood floors become worn and lose their luster, our refinishing service will restore their appearance with a beautiful, smooth finish. Our refinishing service includes sanding and scraping the floors down to the natural wood using what is called a dustless process, which means our machines vacuum as they’re sanding, so the process is very clean. We then apply multiple three coats of finish, buffing between each coat to ensure a smooth even finish. For the last coat, you will choose between a high gloss, semi-gloss, or satin finish. After the last coat is applied, and the finish has dried, you can walk in the area with socks and move furniture using felt padding (do not drag furniture across the floors, but lift and place it). The floors should be maintained in this manner for the first 36 hours after the last coat of finish is applied.

Notes

If you have area rugs, you must wait seven days before you can lay them down again.
The number of coats depends on the type and brand of finishes used.
The amount of time for the finish to dry after the last coat depends on the type and brand of finish used. The refinishing specialist will notify you on how much time it will take to dry.
